Celebrating our Team New Brunswick Women's U18 Team!!

We would like share a historical event for Women in Sport that happened in Regina, SK this July 2022. Football Canada had their first ever Women’s U-18 National Tackle Football Tournament. Football New Brunswick competed against Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Our women’s team won a bronze medal against team Ontario. This is also the first time in provincial history that Football New Brunswick competed nationally and won a medal in Mosaic Stadium. This where the CFL team, Saskatchewan Roughriders play. It is a state of the art facility.

Although many of our Football teams are co-ed, it made us realize how important our women’s teams truly are in terms of giving women a voice in male dominated sports.

Our provincial team was composed of some young women living here in Fredericton. They are members of the CAMFA local women’s bantam team, The Fredericton Predators.

Fredericton Players: Jana McAllister, Emma Lundrigan, Rebecca Massie, Emery Bowland, Hannah Coburn, Emma Plume, and Lacey Johnson
