OVERVIEW
The Captial Area Minor Football Association offers programs in the Spring and Fall seasons. The Spring program runs from April to June. This is a developmental tackle program for boys aged 10-15 and girls aged 9-17. The Fall program is more competitive and runs from September to November. Our programs are organized by age in the following Football Divisions: U-8 & U-10 Flag Football, U-10 Tackle, U-12 Tackle, U-14 Tackle, and U-16 Tackle. Although all of our programs and divisions are co-ed, we also offer a Girls Tackle program for ages 14-17.
SPRING TACKLE PROGRAM
The Spring program is a great introduction to Tackle Football.
Spring Divisions teams practice together and benefit from working with a variety of coaches from across the capital area. Most games are played amongst our intercity teams. On occasion, there are interlock games scheduled with teams from the other minor football associations in New Brunswick. Teams are typically created through a draft process.
The spring season runs from the beginning of April to late May/early June. The start of the spring season is usually held indoors at the BMO Center dome on campus due to the snow. As soon as turf fields are available, division practices and games are scheduled outside at one of the three turf fields, Oromocto, Scotia North, and Scotia South.
All gear is included with the registration fee with the exception of cleats. Cleats are not mandatory, however, suggested for safety and better mobility. Girdles (boxer-like shorts that hold thigh, hip, and tailbone pads) are available for purchase at gear fittings, again not mandatory.
Gear fittings are scheduled at Willie O'Ree by division, usually around the first practice of the season. CAMFA's door at Willie O'Ree is the 3rd door from the front on the side facing the parking lot. When acquiring gear, there is an agreement in place that lost gear will require the cost of replacing the item lost.

FALL PROGRAMS
Fall Tackle Program
The fall tackle program is a competitive, developmental program. Much to the spring tackle program, this program continues with skill and knowledge building as well as strength and conditioning. The fall tackle program includes leagues for ages 8-15; U10 tackle for ages 8-9, U12 tackle for ages 10-11, U14 tackle for ages 12-13, U16 tackle for ages 14-15 and Varsity Girls tackle for ages 14-17.
All teams are rostered by via a draft process with head coaches of each team gathering with a CAMFA executive presiding.
